Network-Based Strategies and Competencies

A major research project of the SEI Center for Advanced Studies in Management is examining the new capabilities and strategies of the networked-based organizations. New communication and information technologies, new governance and regulatory institutions, and corresponding new business models, are leading to enterprises that are more network-centric rather than firm-centric.  This work, developing a “new theory of the firm,” was the focus of a May 2007 conference and high-level November 2007 conference that will result in a book on this topic, edited by Center Director Jerry Wind and Paul Kleindorfer. http://mktg-sun.wharton.upenn.edu/SEI/
